IsoBlock® Webinar

Mechanistic Insights of IsoBlock® VF Filter Fouling

TeraPore's IsoBlock® Virus Filter contains an isoporous membrane made by the self-assembly of a Isoprene-Styrene-4-Vinylpyridine (ISV) triblock-copolymer. Join us for a deep dive into the fouling mechanisms of ISV membranes by monoclonal feeds & its dependence on the membrane surface chemistry.

In this work, we present experiments that allow us to observe, identify and quantify the fouling mechanism for ISV membranes. We show evidence that for several mAb feeds that we tested, protein adsorption is the main driver of membrane fouling. We also find that fouling is correlated with mAb hydrophobicity while protein charge plays only a marginal role. Register to learn more!
